Needed some kosher bagels for a work event. The bagels were fresh and everyone enjoyed them. I always go for everything bagel- you really can't go wrong with an everything bagel with a schmear of cream cheese. The staff were really helpful. The woman at checkout was helping me gauge how much cream cheese I would need for the bagels I got.
I came to grab breakfast and a half a dozen bagels to take back home with me. OMG it must be the water cause this was the best bagel I've ever had. The smear was good but not knock your socks off good. I should have picked another flavor. My bagels travels great and I was able to keep them fresh until I got home and a few days after. Staff was very nice and there was plenty of seating. Service was quick but I did order a fresh squeezed orange juice and that took a few min to make. I was super happy with everything. And will be back the next time I'm in NY.
AOK bagel, rather pale, no crust, good lox filling, it was just fine. Having traveled 4 hours for Omakase, an art show and bagels, I was not too enthusiastic about my bagel choice but will remember my visit to Howard Stern's mom's favorite bagel spot. Service was excellent.

1st stop on the 'gotta have NY food' list & it did NOT disappoint! Even came back before leaving. There was initial confusion for how to order what was desired but it was figured out. Everything ordered was delicious except for the "stankin pickle" it tasted ok, but smells bad & i couldn't eat it because of that
Bagel Boss at this location has been on my To Go list for months. I was so excited when I noticed this location was convenient one morning when I was visiting the neighborhood. I stopped in and bought a Whole Wheat Everything Bagel to go. It's a huge bagel and they're definitely no frills. They did cut it in half for me. After cutting in half it was just thrown in the brown paper bag. At least the bag didn't get greasy carrying the bagel in my backpack. I found the atmosphere to be neighborhood oriented not touristy. People were eating and drinking coffee. It was busy mid morning. The counter employee and bagel preparation employee were both nice, yet not overly friendly. There's at least one other Bagel Boss location I'm familiar with. It's on 14th Street. The last time my daughter and I walked past that 14th Street location it looked closed. I'm definitely going back to see. In the meantime, I hope this Bagel Boss location stays open. You could miss this place when you're walking by. I did until I asked someone walking their dog where it was! I enjoy their bagels. I'm recommending.......
